Zetasizer Zeta-APS (Matec) is designed for measuring particle size distribution (PSD) and zeta potential (ZP). Two experimental techniques are used to determine the above properties, namely, Acoustic Attenuation Spectroscopy (AAS) and an electroacoustic method using ultrasonic waves (ESA - Electrokinetic Sonic Amplitude) patented by Matec Applied Sciences. The Zeta-APS analyzer allows simultaneous measurements of spectrum of sound speed, pH, conductivity and temperature of a sample in a particle size range from 10 nm to 100 microns.
